The tiny 22nd state SIKKIM of (India) lies between Nepal and Bhutan, in the lap of the Himalaya Kanchanjunga (5500ft), with its rich culture, beautiful Orchid sanctuary , the snow clad mountains which attracts and fascinates a lot of tourists. The pristine and unspoilt natural beauty includes alpine landscapes and thick luxuriant tropical forests rivers torrents and peaceful lakes though not very large in size. The famous oldest monasteries commemorated with stupas perched on forest clad spurs beneath the external snows. Besides the natural beauty one continuously beholds in Sikkim there are many more places that made one's visit to Sikkim a memorable one. The best period to visit Sikkim is from March - May, End of September - December first week.
