Join us for a relatively short, but wonderfully varied exploration of this region, an ideal introduction to trekking in Nepal.This 8 days trek traverses the rambling foothills of the Annapurna, up and down steep ridges dotted with small villages, across fields and farm of the Magar and Gurung people and through forests of oak, pine and rhododendron. We'll get a good look at Himalayan village life and along the trail have time to stop in the many tea houses established as refreshment stops for local and visiting travellers. From high viewpoints of the villages of Ghorepani and Ghandrung, there are fantastic view including the snowy flanks of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and the famous spire of Machapuchare, the " Matterhorn of Nepal" |
