MANASLU CIRCUIT GRADE: A DURATION: 16 - 20 DAYS Max. altitude: 5213m.  Manaslu was opened for tourism in February 1991. It has been identified as a potential area for Eco-tourism. The circuit covers parts of 3 districts, Gorkha, Lamjung and Manang. The trekking route begin from either Trisuli or Gorkha Bazaar. The trail winds down precipitous slopes till it links with a mute trail which circles around Manaslu through Larkya Pass (5500m) to Thonje in the east Annapurna sector. Superb mountain views in all directions. Sherpa accompaniment is necessary as are camping equipment and food supplies. From Arughat Bazaar it becomes difficult to obtain food, so we calculate the number of days and plan accordingly. Because it is a long course, you must be in good health and have extra days for rest. Sama, before you cross the pass, you can enjoy strolling about the glacial lake and Pungen Glacier there.Recently our government has strictly made rule that 2 weeks permit USD 140 for Dec to Aug and USD 180 gor Septembet to November. Good news is: liaison officer is not necessary to hire anymore. |
